How many people can you accommodate?
For the most one-on-one relaxing self-care experience, we can only accommodate one person at time for services.
How often should I receive a headspa treatment?
Headspa services can be enjoyed monthly or seasonally to support the changing needs of your hair and scalp throughout the year. If you’re dealing with scalp concerns that could benefit from detoxing and deep cleansing, or if you’re experiencing thinning or want to encourage healthy hair growth, Headspa treatments can be scheduled more frequently to align with your natural hair growth cycles for optimal results.
Can you do Headspa with hair color?
All of our products are safe for color treated hair, however something to considering is your timing with your upcoming color services. Ideally, receiving your headspa BEFORE your next color service will help prevent color from fading. With the cleansing, detoxing and running hot water it can be difficult for stubborn grey coverage, fashion colors, reds or anyone with a straightening or keratin treatment. If you have had color service recently we recommend waiting at least a week to two weeks after to receive your headspa.
Can you do the service with curly hair? Or any hair textures?
Headspa services can be done with all hair textures including thin and fragile, thick and course, waxy, curly, porous and even bald!
Can you receive a headspa service with extensions?
Yes, you can enjoy a headspa with extensions, with a few important considerations. Our Lux Locks Headspa with Extensions is specially designed to care for both your scalp and extensions, focusing on scalp health while carefully working around the points of contact. This service includes a pre- and post-scalp analysis to ensure your scalp health is prioritized, as healthy hair begins at the root. You’ll also receive expert guidance on maintaining your scalp’s health while wearing extensions and the benefits of regular treatments to support long-term hair health and growth.
While it’s ideal to schedule your headspa between move-ups, it can also be done with wet extensions as long as your outgrowth is within a week of installation and not too grown out before your next move-up. We recommend discussing your extension placement with your stylist to ensure the best results.
How should I prep for my appointment?
To get the most out of your headspa experience, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing, as you’ll be reclining during the service. There’s no need to wash your hair beforehand—our service includes a complete cleanse and scalp treatment. For your convenience, we suggest wearing little to no jewelry to avoid needing to remove it during your appointment. Also, little to no makeup if you will be including a facial or would like to add on a facial mask during the headspa service. Come relaxed and ready to unwind while we take care of the rest!

How many days after my headspa can I wash?
You can wash the next day if it feels necessary but ideally you should be able to wait 2-3days to wash again since your scalp and hair are clean and fresh.
Will I leave my headspa with wet or dry hair?
You will leave your headspa with dry hair, as all services include a finishing blow-dry. We offer tiered options based on your preferences—choose a quick dry for a simple finish or upgrade to a upgraded heat styling with flat iron or curls for a more refined look. If you’re in a hurry or prefer to leave with wet hair, that can be accommodated upon request.
